Shipping & Delivery

Last updated: 17 July 2026

This Shipping & Delivery Policy explains how orders placed with DLA Stone Ltd are prepared and delivered.

1. Made-to-Order Production

DLA Stone furniture is made to order in Türkiye. Production begins after:

  • The final product specifications have been approved
  • The delivery information has been confirmed
  • The required payment has been received

Any production or delivery timeframe shown on the website or quotation is an estimate unless DLA Stone expressly confirms a guaranteed date in writing.

Natural-stone selection, production, quality control, protective crating, customs processing and international transport may affect the estimated timeframe. We will notify you if we become aware of a material delay.

2. Delivery Destinations

DLA Stone delivers only to destinations that we have confirmed as serviceable. Direct ordering is available only for destinations for which product price, freight, customs duties and import taxes have been calculated.

If your destination is not enabled, please request a delivery quotation before placing an order. We do not guarantee delivery to every country, island, remote area or restricted-access location.

3. DDP Delivery

Where your quotation or order confirmation states "DDP", the price includes:

  • Export customs clearance
  • International freight
  • Import customs clearance
  • Applicable customs duties
  • Applicable import taxes
  • Standard kerbside delivery

DDP applies only to the delivery destination and services stated in the written quotation or order confirmation.

DDP does not include:

  • Carrying the item inside the property
  • Upstairs delivery
  • Room-of-choice delivery
  • Unpacking
  • Assembly or installation
  • Packaging removal
  • Crane or hoist services
  • Specialist lifting
  • Storage caused by customer delay
  • Redelivery following a missed appointment
  • Undisclosed difficult-access costs
  • Remote-area surcharges unless expressly included

Any additional service must be agreed and priced separately in writing.

4. What Kerbside Delivery Means

Kerbside delivery means that the packaged item is delivered to the nearest safe, vehicle-accessible unloading point outside the delivery address. Depending on access and carrier conditions, this may be:

  • At the kerb
  • At a driveway entrance
  • At a building entrance
  • At another safe point accessible by the delivery vehicle

The carrier will not carry the product inside, upstairs or into a particular room under the standard service.

Natural-stone furniture can be extremely heavy. You are responsible for arranging suitable assistance, professional movers and any necessary lifting equipment to move the product after kerbside delivery.

Do not assume that two people will always be sufficient. The assistance required depends on the product's dimensions, weight, packaging and delivery conditions.

5. Access Requirements

Before approving your order, please tell us about:

  • Narrow roads
  • Vehicle restrictions
  • Parking restrictions
  • Gated access
  • Stairs
  • Narrow entrances
  • Steep slopes
  • Delivery-time restrictions
  • Islands or remote locations
  • Crane or lifting requirements
  • Any other condition that may affect safe delivery

We may request photographs, measurements or additional access information.

Additional reasonable costs caused by incorrect, incomplete or undisclosed access information may be charged where legally permitted.

6. Delivery Appointments

Where available, the carrier will contact you to arrange or confirm delivery.

You must provide accurate contact details and ensure that an authorised adult is available to receive the order.

Delivery dates and time windows may be affected by customs clearance, traffic, weather and carrier operations.

If a delivery fails because nobody is available or because access information was incorrect, reasonable redelivery or storage costs may apply where legally permitted.

7. Receiving and Inspecting Your Order

Inspect the exterior of the crate and packaging before it is moved or opened.

If the packaging appears damaged:

  • Take photographs of all sides
  • Photograph the shipping label
  • Ask the carrier to record "packaging damaged" where possible
  • Do not confirm that the product is undamaged if it has not been unpacked and inspected

Inspect the product as soon as reasonably possible after delivery.

If you discover visible damage, contact DLA Stone within 48 hours where possible. Prompt reporting helps us investigate the matter with the carrier and insurer.

Reporting after 48 hours does not automatically remove your statutory rights.

Retain the product, crate, pallet and all packaging until DLA Stone confirms the next step. See our Returns, Cancellations & Damaged Orders Policy for the full reporting process, or submit a damage report directly.

8. Risk of Loss or Damage

Responsibility for loss or damage will pass in accordance with applicable law and the agreed delivery terms.

Nothing in this policy limits your rights where goods are damaged, faulty, incorrectly supplied or do not conform to the approved specification.
